Hello! My name is Sarah Betty and I am a dressmaker and bridal seamstress of the Hudson Valley. I have been working in the bridal industry since 2007 and absolutely love every minute sharing in a bride's experience.
I knew from an early age that I wanted to work with needle and thread. As I played with my Barbies I would make them rudimentary tube tops and miniskirts being ever so proud of my creations. As I made my way through middle school and my first home economics class, I discovered how much I loved fabrics and using a sewing machine. I commissioned my grandmother for a weekend to teach me how to read an “onion skin” pattern and make my first sundress. That experience was so exciting to me that I knew I needed to do anything possible to learn more about the craft. I took fashion classes throughout high school and went on to graduate college with a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design. I started working in bridal shops as an intern both while in college and then once graduating at a beautiful local bridal shop in Montgomery, NY. In my years working in bridal and dress shops I have worked with many highly talented seamstresses and pattern makers learning and soaking up every bit of knowledge that they were willing to share with me. After having my son in 2013, I decided to start working from home doing alterations on my own. I slowly started to grow my clientele and started making custom bridal gowns. Now, 10 years later I have grown my business and have been very proud to have serviced 100s of brides in the Hudson Valley. I am dedicated in making every bride feel special and to allow them the genuine feelings of excitement and beauty that they deserve as they get fitted or have their gowns custom made by me for one of the biggest days of their lives. I take great pride in working in my craft and promise to only strive for greatness and enrichment for my years to come as your dressmaker and seamstress.

"Sarah was an absolute dream to work with. She was always so tentative to my needs and the vision I had for my dress. My wedding gown was everything and more all thanks to Sarah!"
